Meet our Pastor

Pastor Jessie L. Gee, Jr. (A.K.A. Pastor Jody) is a passionate leader who has been serving this congregation with love, wisdom, and dedication for over 30 years, first under the leadership of his trailblazing parents, and now as the Senior Pastor. With a heart for God’s people, Pastor Jody is committed to sharing the life-transforming message of the Gospel, empowering individuals to live out their faith in practical and impactful ways.

Pastor Gee believes in the power of love, as commanded by Jesus. Through every message, every prayer, and every act of service, Pastor Jody encourages the congregation to grow in their relationship with God and each other, embodying the love of Christ in their daily lives.

Under Pastor Jody’s leadership, Word of Love Church is a place where people from all walks of life come together to experience God’s grace, connect in fellowship, and serve the community. We invite you to join us as we walk in faith, love our neighbors, and pursue God’s purpose for our lives.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. Matthew 22:37-39

Our Founders

Visionary leadership, compassion towards everyone, and communion with people are hallmarks of Pastor Emeritus Jessie L. Gee, Sr. and the late Co-Pastor Norma Gee.

Pastor Gee has been kingdom building since 1979, even before he founded the Word of Love Church in 1994. The Gee's were married over 52 years and were transparent about their marriage journey to help couples be successful in their own relationships. Family is the foundation of the church body so building healthy relationships and raising children to grow spiritually are of paramount importance.

Their commitment to the Word of Love Church Family is parallel to none. For this, they are honored and loved by many.

“A church where love abides because hate is too great of a burden to bear.”
